Dr. Sheetal Higbee is a highly experienced, board-certified Hematologist and Medical Oncologist who joined AO Multispecialty Clinic in August 2024. With over seven years of experience in a robust community-based oncology practice, Dr. Higbee is deeply committed to providing compassionate,
patient-centered cancer care.

She earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical Center in New York. She then completed her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Her extensive training has equipped her with expertise in both inpatient and outpatient oncology, including managing chemotherapy, performing bone marrow biopsies, and treating a wide range of hematologic and oncologic conditions.

Before joining AO Multispecialty Clinic, Dr. Higbee served as a Physician at Conemaugh Physician Group in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, where she managed a busy practice and played an integral role in teaching residents and medical students. She is known for her proficiency in handling complex cases and her active participation in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards.

Dr. Higbee is also actively involved in clinical research, with multiple publications and presentations to her credit. Her research interests include improving patient outcomes in oncology, with a particular focus on health literacy and the management of hematologic malignancies.
