Originally from Sacramento, California, board-certified Dr. Anand (Andy) Mohapatra, is committed to providing personalized and comprehensive care to his patients. His journey in medicine has been marked by a dedication to excellence, from his education to his specialized training and ongoing commitment to improving the health and well-being of those he serves.

Dr. Mohapatra obtained his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis, setting the foundation for his career in urology. Following this, he pursued an internship in general surgery and a residency in urologic surgery at the esteemed University of Pittsburgh. During his residency, he received comprehensive training in a variety of surgical techniques, including endoscopic, laparoscopic, open, and robotic procedures.

His decision to specialize in urology was guided by two primary factors. First and foremost, he values the opportunity to build long-term relationships with his patients. This aspect of the medical profession allows him to connect on a deeper level with those he serves, fostering trust and understanding. Secondly, the perfect blend of medicine and surgery in urology appealed to Dr. Mohapatra, allowing him to engage in both aspects of patient care.

One of Dr. Mohapatra’s favorite aspects of working in healthcare is the shared goal he and his staff have—to help patients become better and healthier than when they first walked through the doors. However, his most cherished moments are spent with his wife, baby boy, and two canine companions—a Siberian Husky and an Australian Shepherd.
