Following this, he pursued an internship in general surgery and a residency in urologic surgery at the esteemed University of Pittsburgh. During his residency, he received comprehensive training in a variety of surgical techniques, including endoscopic, laparoscopic, open, and robotic procedures.

His decision to specialize in urology was guided by two primary factors. First and foremost, he values the opportunity to build long-term relationships with his patients. This aspect of the medical profession allows him to connect on a deeper level with those he serves, fostering trust and understanding. Secondly, the perfect blend of medicine and surgery in urology appealed to Dr. Mohapatra, allowing him to engage in both aspects of patient care.

One of Dr. Mohapatra’s favorite aspects of working in healthcare is the shared goal he and his staff have—to help patients become better and healthier than when they first walked through the doors. Dr. Mohapatra approaches each day with the enthusiasm of contributing to the well-being of his patients.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Mohapatra enjoys various hobbies that contribute to a well-rounded and fulfilling life. His love for traveling allows him to explore different cultures and perspectives, broadening his horizons. In the kitchen, Dr. Mohapatra channels his creativity and passion for cooking. However, his most cherished moments are spent with his wife, baby boy, and two canine companions—a Siberian Husky and an Australian Shepherd.
